| Kym Murphy, 30 year Disney veteran, fell in love with gourds during a trip to Hawaii about 15 years ago. His gourd art is unique and is often inspired by nature. “Gourds are truly amazing. Each one has a personality and a story to tell. If you are patient, that story will eventually come to you and if you’re lucky a piece of art will follow.”
In his previous lives he has been a kennel worker, brick layer, mortuary night attendant, marine biologist, creative director, senior v.p. and writer. He and his wife Linda, live in Big Bear Lake, California, where, “Every day is truly a slice of heaven.”
