| The roots of the Beatriz Ball Collection began in 1991, when Beatriz began working hand-in-hand with skilled metalware artisans in the outskirts of Mexico City, jointly creating updated, innovative designs.
Many of those skilled metalworkers are still with her now, in the foundry in Mexico.
The Beatriz Ball recycled aluminum pieces are made entirely by hand, one at a time, using the ancient art of sand casting: pouring a premium quality alloy of molten aluminum into sand molds, and then going through four levels of polishing.More than twelve different sets of hands are involved in the creation of each piece, and the results of this intensely handmade process is a piece with depth of charater, warmth and personality that communicates in a way that only a handmade piece can.
